There are federal and state laws that protect people from an unsafe working environment. The main federal law is the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970. OSHA gives you many rights if you feel that you are working in an unsafe place of employment. OSHA really does stand up for the workers, especially if an employer is not in compliance with OSHA regulation.
